In a surprise move, WalMart Stores, Inc., announced the company would be closing underperforming Sam's Club warehouses across the country. Among the list of 63 stores, the Owings Mills location on Reisterstown Road.

Officials from the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown campus say an investigation is underway following a video posted on Facebook went viral.

The Baltimore City School Board meets Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 5 p.m. Marietta English, President of the Baltimore Teachers Union, spoke with WEAA's Julius White about the union's recent call for the shut down of at least 60 of the system's 117 schools until heating problems are fixed ---and the politics surrounding the issue.

It will be another day without classes for some students in Baltimore City. Schools and offices will open TWO HOURS LATE today, half-day early learning programs are canceled. Essential employees* should report on time.  Furley Elementary School, Harlem Park, Leith Walk, and Pimlico elementary/middle schools remain CLOSED for students.
