Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh says that Baltimore needs help to close the $130 million deficit facing city schools. Pugh told an Annapolis press conference yesterday that the city is still waiting on a financial commitment from the state to help fix the problem. Baltimore City Public Schools CEO Sonja Santileses says that solving the system's fiscal problems will require a long term city and state commitment. And: police are investigating bomb threats to Jewish centers in Maryland. Similar threats were received in other states.
