THE CHUCK BROWN BAND keeps the go go onstage and going strong at

Good & Yummy, the one woman show with DELETTA GILLESPIE, returns to the stage at Germano’s on South High Street in Baltimore, 6 p.m.

PONCHO SANCHEZ & HIS LATIN BAND are at Blues Alley throughout the weekend, two shows each night, 8 and 10 p.m., bluesalley.com

Saturday, July 30

For lovers of the big band jazz sound, it’s the BAYSIDE BIG BAND outdoors at the Lurman Woodland Theatre in Catonsville, 6 p.m. Bringing lawn chairs or blankets is suggested.

The Sound of the City Festival brings real funk to the Gateway Pavilion in southeast DC. EU—EXPERIENCE UNLIMITED, TROUBLE FUNK, BELA DONA, and more scheduled to entertain. Music starts at noon.

Spontaneous Combustion: New Works for Solo Piano by LAFAYETTE GILCREST is the performance at An Die Musik, two shows, 8 and 9:30 p.m., andiemusiklive.com.

In Town is the visual art exhibit offering Baltimore impressions by painter MICHAEL OWEN at the Eubie Blake Cultural Center on North Howard Street.

Jazz keyboardist TOM REYES brings his ensemble to the Harborplace Amphitheatre for an afternoon of jazz, 5 p.m. is the time.

MOUSEY THOMPSON’S JAMES BROWN EXPERIENCE and the WE ARE ONE MAZE TRIBUTE come together for an old school love fest at The Howard Theatre, 7p.m., thehowardtheatre.com

Born for This: The BeBe Winans Story is the theatrical production at the Kreeger Theatre at Arena Stage in Washington, DC. The production runs through August 28th with Music and lyrics by BeBe Winans, matinee and evening performances, arenastage.org

ArtsCentric celebrates 35 years of the musical Dreamgirls with a new production at the Motor House in Baltimore, North Avenue and Howard Street, through September 11, artscentric.net
