UPDATE: MTA officials say all Penn Line service is suspended until further notice after a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and Amtrak train at the Odenton Marc station. Penn Line service will be resuming and customers can expect significant delays between BWI and Bowie State. On Twitter, MTA officials said a police investigation continues at Odenton, All trains will bypass Odenton station, service will resume at Odenton later today
MTA officials said all Penn Line service was suspended after a fatal accident involving a pedestrian and Amtrak train at the Odenton Marc station. This statement was released on the MTA website:
“Due to a fatality involving an Amtrak train at Odenton station all Penn Line Service will be suspended until further notice. Washington Metro was opened for MARC passengers from New Carrollton to DC. Riders were able to show their tickets to the attendant at Washington Metro booth . Camden Line Service operated as normal to cross honor tickets.”
