Local News: Pugh In U.S. District Court Today to Answer Questions About DOJ Consent Decree

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh is scheduled to be in U.S. District Court today to answer questions about the cost of implementing the Department of Justice consent decree on police reform. And, Maryland Democrats have outlined their plans to deal with potential Trump Administration actions that could have a negative effect on the state. Among the measures is the Maryland Defense Act of 2017, which would expand the state attorney general’s authority to take legal action the federal government without permission from the governor.
