Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. Jack Young wants to cut money from the police department and redirect it to city schools. And, the Baltimore County School Board has voted to eliminate its policy on dismissing schools without air conditioning on days when heat index is forecast to reach 90 degrees by 11 am.
