Funeral arrangements have been announced for the Prince George's County Police officer who was killed while helping a neighbor during a domestic dispute in Brandywine. Services for Corporal Mujahid Ramzziddin will take place today at the Diyanet Center of America on Good Luck Road in Lanham at 1:30 p.m.

Police Chief Hank Stawinski says because of his Muslim faith, the service will be shorter than a traditional officer funeral. “But, out of respect for his faith, the prayer and the funerary, the procession and the interment---all of that happens in 90 minutes or less,” said Stawinski.

Officers and members of the public who want to attend are asked to join along the procession route on Route 193 from Good Luck Road to Kenilworth Avenue, and Bladensburg Road from Peace Cross to Fort Lincoln Cemetery.  Chief Stawinski says he is also working on a potential vigil.

Meanwhile, the man who shot and killed Ramzzddin was set to be arrested as part of a "warrant sweep" the same day of the shooting.  Prince George's County State's Attorney Angela Alsobrooks says Glenn Tyndell had several open assault warrants filed by his wife.  “There’s no denying that the wife in this case did everything she could to be safe,” said Alsobrooks. “She followed all the protocols.”

The sheriff's office says they had been actively seeking to get Tyndell in custody since January.
