The Ellison Report is a weekly journal of politics, policy, and the people.

PART I – Jessica Waters, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in American University’s School of Public Affairs, to discuss likely scenarios for the new SCOTUS nominee, how much this is about the political calculus and concerns over where Merrick Garland will stand on specific issues if he arrives on the High Bench.

PART II – Tom Jensen, Director at Public Policy Polling to discuss hypothetical Clinton vs. Trump match-ups: how is that looking in individual states.  And: what’s polling look like over the SCOTUS nomination process and GOP blockade of it? Do voters care and where do they care?

PART III – Peter Moore, YouGov Assistant Editor, to discuss the polling trends of the SCOTUS nomination and whether this will be a national game changer during this election cycle.

PART IV – Jehron Muhammad, Columnist for the Philadelphia Daily News and frequent contributor to the Final Call, to discuss the difference between Islamaphobia and anti-Muslim.  Plus: a look at the intersection of race and Islam (especially for Black Muslims) and how this is influencing the election cycle.
