Baltimore police say they've arrested the driver of the car in which a seven-year-old girl was shot. The girl was shot Thursday afternoon while riding in the back seat of a car in Southwest Baltimore and is in critical condition. Police say the driver, Darnell Holmes, was arrested on gun and drug charges. Police are searching for a shooter. At a news conference Friday, Interim Baltimore Police Commissioner Gary Tuggle up dated the media about the case.
A GoFundMe account is raising money for Taylor Hayes. An adult and second child in the car were not injured. Anyone who wants to make a donation can go to GoFundMe.com/hopesforTaylor. Governor Larry Hogan says he is praying for the girl's recovery and the person who committed this despicable act of violence against this innocent child must be identified, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
