Iyore Odighizuwa

Senior Producer, Today with Dr.Kaye

Driven and persistent, Today with Dr. Kaye Associate Producer and WEAA Senior Producer, Iyore Odighizuwa, feels the obligation to tell stories that are life changing. She is a 2012 graduate of Morgan State University and hit the ground running, with experience in marketing with Sony Pictures Entertainment, feature reporting with Africa World TV, and production assisting with Maryland Public Television.

  Iyore’s is currently working on a passion project. Her documentary work focuses on unity between Africans and African-Americans,as a web docu-series entitled AKATA. In 2012 as a semi-finalist in the Miss African USA pageant, Iyore raised awareness on the issue as a platform in her campaigning.

  In addition to booking amazing guest like the award winning songwriter, Chrisette Michele, to the economist, author and nationally recognized speaker, Julianne Malveaux, for First Edition, Chrisette Michele, to the economist, author and nationally recognized speaker, Julianne Malveaux, for First Edition, Iyore is also one of the voices for WEAA as a voice over talent for NPR underwriting.

  She doesn't limit herself to only being a radio producer but also enjoys freelancing as a brand ambassador and production assistant, which entails promos, commercials, and government related videos. She has had the pleasure of being an on set extra and production assistant for Netflix Original drama series, “House of Cards" season 4. In her spear time, she delights in creating and design flyers for free.

   Iyore received her masters at American University in Producing Film and Video. In her free time, she enjoys jamming off with others by singing, dancing and spending time with children, family, and friends.
