Guillermo Brown has continued the tradition of bringing the sounds of salsa and latin jazz to the Baltimore community through Fiesta Musical, a program founded by José Ruíz, and who passed away in 2006.
Guillermo is an educator, teaching Spanish and leadership development at the high school level. In this spirit, on Fiesta Musical, Guillermo works to share not only the diverse sounds of salsa and Latin jazz, but also its background, history, culture and the connections of the music with the Afro Caribbean roots and jazz traditions in the U.S.
Guillermo worked over 16 years in Venezuela in the area of community development and communication, and he works with Baltimore's Latino community, particularly with EBLO and emcees many community events.
